Barcelona to Host Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said finished work included a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held a public practice inside the stadium on 7 November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio OlĂmpic LluĂs Companys.
