I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
